Fostering an atmosphere that promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment for our students

NEPA School of Massage was handcrafted by local therapist Christine Mooney. She brings 16 years of experience and fully understands the current demands for professionals in the massage industry—especially within northeast Pennsylvania.

Christine Mooney, LMT

Christine received her initial training as a massage therapist at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy; she furthered her education at the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi School of Kauai, where she became an expert in the Lomi Lomi technique. She moved back to northeast Pennsylvania, where she established her own business, Massage Now, which continues to serve hundreds of clients in the surrounding areas. After sixteen years, her decision to open NEPA School of Massage is due to her passion for the industry and the responsibility she feels to pass on her knowledge to the next generation of massage therapists.

Sherrie Petrowski-McDade, LMT S4OM

I have been practicing massage therapy for 16 years. I am a 2011
graduate of the former McCann School of Business and Technology in
Dickson City, Pa., where I received my associate degree in professional
Massage Therapy. In those 16 years, I have been a business owner,
independent contractor, and a successful instructor maintaining a 100%
pass rate for the state MBLEx massage licensing exam for various local
area massage programs, most recently accepting the position with NEPA
School of Massage in Kingston, Pa., a small, private massage therapy
school based on the belief in quality versus quantity with our smaller class
sizes. My continuing education and experience have been focused in
many different areas of massage therapy. My continuing education and specializations
include Sports, Trigger Point, Craniosacral, Manual Lymphatic Drainage
for the Healthy Client, Cupping, Trauma Informed, Ethics, Mandated
Reporting, Myofascial Release, Oncology, Palliative, and Hospice
massage therapy modalities. I am a certified Society for Oncology
Massage Therapist and Unite for Her provider, which means I have fulfilled
their requirements and their standards to ensure a safe and effective
integration of massage therapy for those living with cancer. The shared
S4OM & S4OE code of conduct is one of the ways the values of respect,
trust, integrity, and collaboration have been implemented into my practice
and instruction of massage therapy and I have made them consistent with
S4OM principles that recognize everything we do will be and should be
measured against the highest possible standards of ethical conduct. I
support their mission and am a proud S4OM provider.
